Halle started piano lessons at the beginning of January. She's been wanting to for so long, but just took me a while to figure out a teacher. She loves it and is very eager to practice. Thankfully she seems to have her father's talent for music, rather than mine!
We had our fun cousin lunch at my Grandma's house and Avery was loving all the girls that were there to play with. Aidan happened to be the only boy this time and he wasn't too thrilled about that.
Caitlyn, Annie, Avery & HaylieA HUGE event has taken place in our home. Avery has finally started playing with toys. She will actually sit down and play for longer than 4 seconds. This particular day we set up the whole Little People town and she played for almost 2 hours. Don't get me wrong she still gets into plenty of trouble, but I get a few breaks of it now throughout the day.
My favorite thing this month was our VERY spontaneous getaway to St. George. A couple weeks ago Halle had Friday and the following Monday off school so Friday morning we decided to get out of town and an hour later we were on the road. The kids were thrilled to be able to play outside and actually breath the air.

We met up with our friends that live in Cedar City and spent the afternoon together. We played at Jumpin' Jacks and then went for pizza after.

Avery on the other hand was not so keen on the idea of getting in a big blow up house to jump. This is as close as she would get to them.
She thoroughly enjoyed these riding machines better...and I didn't even put quarters in them to turn them on.
She finally bummed a ride with some other kids whose parents were nice enough to spare the 50 cents.

And now the month is all but over and I feel like spring isn't SO far off. Busy life keeps us moving and I'm sure it will be here before we now it. I hope so any way.

we've had the same month! I'm glad to hear piano is going good. I just got Jake all signed up with a teacher. We too took of last minute and went to St George. Loved it. I'm planning another weekend at the end of Feb. It's so nice to see blue sky and play outside. Where is Jumpin Jacks? St George or Cedar? And Chloe too sits in front of the little people and plays. Love it!
Ah, an indoor swimming pool looks heavenly right about now! And when did Halle get big enough to take piano lessons?
That looks so nice! Wish I could get away to a warm place. So glad you guys went.
Cute Pics Hu! Your kids are adorable. You are so good at keeping up on your blogging. You have inspired me. :o) Have a happy day!
Great pics. Now you've made me want to go visit St. George.
Can't wait for spring!
I had no idea you went to St George! We were tempted to do the same thing that weekend, but things got too crazy with the house situation. Anyway, looks like so much fun and a welcome change!
I'm glad Halle got to start piano - I think she'll love it. Sadie sure does. And it looks like they use the same books. I think they're good.
You're January looks a lot more exciting than ours!
so glad that Avery is playing with toys now to give you a little breather! This post was just FILLED with darling pictures! I think Avery is smiling big in every single one! SO cute! Halle looks so old playing the piano...I can't wait for Kyra to start...and I can't wait to get a piano (someday)!
I love the spontaneous St. George trip. I'm so impressed that you've got Halle in piano lessons. Now I'm feeling the pressure to make my kids musical. Thanks. :)
