On Friday night we went camping with all my dad's family up at
Heber Valley Camp. Tucker had some last minute work things come up and wasn't able to come with us. It was such a beautiful place and a really nice camp. We slept in cabins, not tents. They had flushing toilets and showers and a very nice eating area with electricity and refrigerators. This is definitely my kind of camping! We rode paddle boats on the lake, played lots of fun games, ate lots of yummy food and enjoyed each other's company. Aidan loved watching all the "chickmonks" (as Halle called them) running around and eating our food crumbs, and Halle loved that her and my Aunt Lynne saw a "reindeer." Halle stayed the afternoon and got to do the ropes course and then came home with my aunt & uncle (thanks Lynne for letting her stay with you)! It was so much fun that we already have it reserved for next year!

The one thing that Halle was most excited about was roasting marshmallows. Unfortunately, all we had to work with were the mini ones. That didn't stop Halle, she found a little stick and proceeded to stick mini marshmallows on it and "grill" them, as she called it! She loved it!

Today my brother blessed their little boy, Zach. We had lunch at their house before the blessing and after eating her lunch, Halle ran straight for the swing set to play. After about 30 seconds on the swing she started screaming. She had gotten stung by a bee right above her lip. It swelled up pretty fast, but she was really brave! I didn't have my camera and by the time we got home the swelling was pretty much gone. As we got in the car to go to church, she said, "Mom, is my face going to stay like this forever?" I couldn't help but laugh, she was such a good sport.
You can't see it in this picture but she is pointing to where she got stung!
